What is GLP-1 Journal: In My Keeping?
GLP-1 Journal: In My Keeping is a private iPhone app for recording GLP-1 medication, notes, weight, and waist, then returning to those original facts in History.
Does Keeping provide medical advice?
No. Keeping does not assess symptoms, diagnose, recommend treatment, calculate doses, or choose medication timing for you. It does not infer meaning from a blank day.
Are my records online?
No. Keeping has no account or cloud sync. Personal records stay in the app's local storage on your device unless you choose to save or share a backup file.
How does Apple Health work?
Apple Health access is optional and user initiated. With your permission, Keeping can read body mass and waist circumference to create local copies. It does not write data to Apple Health.
Can I back up or delete my records?
Yes. In Settings, "Backup (export)" creates a local ZIP backup that you save or share through iOS, and Keeping also provides a Delete All Local Data control. Your backup is a file you keep and manage; Keeping does not upload or sync it.
How do backup and restore work?
Keeping creates backups locally; there is no cloud backup or automatic sync, so you must save the file somewhere you can reach later. To restore, choose a backup file in Keeping: it validates the whole ZIP before writing anything, then replaces all recoverable records on this device in one transaction. Restore never merges, and it cannot be undone. Only complete version 2 backups can be restored; a ZIP exported by app version 1.0 uses the older format and is rejected as an unsupported version. Updating to 1.0.1 keeps the records already in the app. Reminders, display preferences, and purchase access are not part of the backup and keep their current values. Without an accessible valid backup, uninstalling the app or losing the device can permanently lose the records stored in it.
How do I restore purchases?
Open the purchase sheet from a restricted action or Settings, tap Restore Purchases, and use the Apple Account that made the purchase. Apple handles restoration. Restore Purchases restores commercial access only; it does not restore History, Apple Health copies, or reminders. If the purchase is not recognized, check your Apple Account and connection, retry, or contact us by email.
